S.S. Keewatin Cruise - 2015
Picture
A delightful cruise that follows the Southern shore of Georgian Bay from Wasaga Beach through Tiny Township and arriving in Port McNicol. The restored steamship SS Keewatin is a walk through time from 1907 until 1965. Staged staterooms with clothing and artifacts from each of the seven decades she carried passengers up and down the Great Lakes.

The engine room and the working 170 ton quadruple expansion reciprocal steam engine is a classic example of what engineering was capable of during the Industrial Revolution. The dining room is set with the dishes, table cloths, utensils candle holders and tea pots from 100 years ago. The Bar, the ballroom and all the public rooms are accessible and living true examples of life on a ship at the turn of the century.
