CCCC-ER SAE and Senick Memorial Cruise - Senick Farm
This is an annual event organized by the Canadian Council of Corvette Clubs, Eastern Division. The event is held at the Senik family Farm in Essa Township, a beautiful location with panoramic views. This farm recently appeared in a film shoot for an episode of the Amazing Race. About what you might ask? Corvettes of course! A scavenger hunt took place with about 50 Corvettes participating. Each car received a cruise package with a list of directions and some questions needing answers only found by driving accurately and observing intently! And a sealed envelope with a map, just in case your Vette gets lost. (But opening that envelope gets that Vette a penalty).
Sample questions: How many Tanks did you count in Base Borden?
What was that famous restaurant in Alliston?

A wonderful cruise on good country roads and with only one incident. The question needing an answer was; What is written on the brass bell by the Church? Hard to read at 80Km, so one must stop and get out. To everyone's surprise, that town happened to have a Bake sale and an annual picnic, complete with the local Fire Department. Picture this melee of 50 Vettes, an entire town and three Fire Trucks all in one small parking lot. Near the end the townsfolk were probably considering barricading the roads and hunkering down for an invasion. Some of us remembered to get the answer to the question and left town quickly with all the cakes.

Back at the farm was a full hot catered meal served out of the driving shed. Followed by a Remembrance of club members and ending with the awards ceremony. A fun Corvette DAZE and none of that white stuff falling.
