Corvette Party & Funkana
Rock 95, Boston Pizza, and the
Stonebridge Plaza in Wasaga Beach have combined forces kick the
weekend off right by hosting our Corvette Party.
Boston Pizza will be providing the
party fare and prizes. Rock 95 is hosting the live-on-location party
featuring Susan Meredith from the morning show! Rock 95 will provide us with all of the tunes, prizes,
and live cut-ins to make this corvette party truly legendary!
The location of the party is at Boston
Pizza in Wasaga Beach. The party will
start at 7 pm on Friday August
20, 2010. It will be an excellent opportunity to meet
fellow corvette enthusiasts and join in the fun of Funkana.
Quad C Anniversary Edition Show & Shine With Full Concours
When one thinks back to the days of Quad C Concours, one thinks of premier judging, great quality Corvettes, brilliant awards, and an overall heighten level of friendly competition. To celebrate our 35th anniversary and WBCC’s 20th anniversary, we are proposing that we bring back a special “Quad C Anniversary Edition Show & Shine With Full Concours” in 2010. The vision for the event is to include EVERYONE (including the kids and their power wheel Corvettes). This means that we would be offering closed hood show & shine categories as well as open hood full concours categories. We would also be offering the “championship” and “best of series” awards.
The activities for the anniversary edition concours would occur on both Saturday August 21st and Sunday August 22nd. On Saturday, we will be conducting tech sessions to prepare judges and competitors for the concours. We will conduct a judging school to refresh everyone on the principals of a Quad C concours. We will also provide competitor preparation schools to review the how to best prepare your Corvette for the competition.
On Sunday, we will conduct the competition. We will encourage everyone to arrive early such that we can conduct the performance verification aspect of the competition and allow the maximum time for you to prep your Corvettes for the shine aspect of the competition.
Given that Corvettes have largely been ignored in recent years from the major prizes at the key indoor competitions in the GTA, we figured that we are long overdue for bringing back a premier competition focus on Corvettes.
With the support of Quad C, this premier Corvette competition will live up to our rich 35 year history. We look forward to Quad C’s approval of this event and to everyone’s participation to make it one for the history books.
We have 23 classes for stock, modified, and kids Corvettes. We will also be offering overall “championship” and judge’s choice “best of series” awards.

present a special award for the best corvette in the show.

present a special award for the best corvette interior in the
show

Best Engine: ASSI will
present a special award for the best corvette engine in the
show.

Best Paint: ASSI
will present a special award for the best corvette paint in the
show.

present a special award for the best restored original corvette
in the show.

Kids Category: kids aged 1 -13 can
enter their power-wheel corvette for prizes
Blue Mountain - Scenic Cruise
This year's cruise is planned to route
through the Blue Mountain region. The route is planned to
be one of the most scenic routes in the history of Beach Cruize.
We will complete the cruise with a refreshment stop in the
Village Of Blue (Blue Mountain Resort) where LIVE entertainment
will be provided for everyone's enjoyment.
Georgian
College Charity Auction
The charity auction will be the highlight of
the 2010 weekend. We have assembled a number of
outstanding corvette items to be auctioned live by members of
the club and Georgian College. All of the proceeds will be
given to Georgian College in the form of a scholarship.
NCRS
Special Collection & Exhibition Judging
Our friends in the Ontario chapter of NCRS
will be promoting the benefits of NCRS through hosting a special
"Top Flight" collection and conducting exhibition judging as a
tech session. The members of the Ontario chapter will
educate us on the flight awards, judging system, and process of
becoming a judge.

Corvette-Only parking will be available as part of your
registration.
Vettemart
Vettemart is shaping contain both Corvette
related products and services this year. The traditional
clothing, memorabilia, auto-detailing, and parts vendors will be
back to provide you with products specialized for corvettes.
New this year, services ranging from on-site performance
turning/upgrades to on-site appraisals will be available.
Corvette Restorer Zone
Restorer zone is going to be a highlight of
the show this year where our members and sponsors will display
their in-progress and recently restored Corvettes. Restorer Zone
will have displays to walk you through the restoration process.
The restorers will available to answer any questions and
potentially assist you with your restoration.
Corvette Challenge
The Corvette Challenge is
a competition where corvette enthusiasts compete in a series of
fun corvette related events. We will be awarding the
winners of the activities with gift certificates to shop at the CorvetteGuys.com.
Corvette Technical Clinics
We will be conducting a series of technical
sessions under our special events tent addressing a variety
Corvette topics. This year we are going to conduct more
demonstrations on key Corvette topics:

Quad C Concourse Judging
School: The Quad C Competition Team will host
a refresher course on the official rules and regulations of
Quad C Concours.

Quad C Concourse
Participants School: The Quad C Competition Team will
guide Concourse participants through the ins and outs of
what the judges will be looking for during the Quad C
Concours.

Importing/Transporting A Vette From
The U.S. TFX Transportation will host a session on explaining the details of importing/transporting a corvette from the U.S.

The Perfect Tune:
If you own a C3 or earlier, you are going to want to
attend this session. We demonstrate the ins and outs
on perfectly tuning your classic Corvette. We will
focus on carburetor, tuning, and ignition timing. You will
walk away from session being completely confident on how to
solve all of those tuning challenges.

The Perfect Shine: If you want to
understand how to achieve that concours mirror finish the
are present on the show & shine champions vette's, you will
want to attend this event. We will review the complete paint
process. We will also have a 1967 body on-site for a
cut and polish demonstration.

Protecting Your Corvette: WBCC
and Lant Insurance (Silver Wheels Plan) will provide a
session highlighting the insurance products to best protect
your Corvette.

NCRS 101 & Exhibition Judging:
The members of the Ontario chapter will educate us on the
flight awards, judging system, and process of becoming a
judge. They will conduct exhibition judging on a WBCC
member's corvette.
Corvette Spa
Our goal this year is to provide activities
for all members of the family. Our locally accredited
estheticians and massage therapist will create a unique Corvette
Spa experience for members of the family not solely interested
in admiring vettes all day long.
Installers Alley
We will be showcasing several performance products targeted at C4,
C5, and C6 corvettes. We will be providing corvette
owners with performance tuning/upgrading services on-site at the
event.
For Sale Corvette Corral
Attention all corvette buyers and sellers,
we are going to provide Corvette Corral centrally located next
to Vettemart where the only goal is to bring buyers and sellers
together.
Poker Walk
Last year's sold-out event is back for
another year. The poker walk will take you on a journey to visit
highlights located in the beach. Prizes will be awarded
for top hands.
On-Site Appraisals and Insurance Advice
If you don't have an appraisal for your
vette or your appraisal is several years old, Roland Gardetti
will be back for another year providing on-site appraisals.
Partnering with Lant Insurance (Silver Wheels Plan), we will
provide you with the information and appraisal services you need
to ensure the investment in your vette is properly protected.
